Jeff or to some, El Jefe

onepremiere

I'm Embarrassed.
.... and I like to party.

Well I am Jeff, I am a 23 year old So Cal native, I like burnet--- Wait, wrong site. Anyways, yeah, motorbikes are awesome.

I just picked up this little gem, a 1971 Honda CB450K4. Well, maybe not a gem to most, but through our eyes.... a gem.

Complete with a locked up engine, and some missing parts, it is just what I was looking for. A project.

I took a bunch of photos this evening while I was pulling the engine... Went to upload them, and my DSLR apparently didn't like them very much.

Once I get further, I will start a build thread. I am glad I found this site/forum. It was just what I was looking for... A bunch of dysfunctional freaks who get off on things with engines and wheels.

Oh yeah, its going to be a low mean cafe racer. Metallic Charcoal Tank, Matte Black Engine Casing, Polished Crank Covers, Cam Covers, Black Wheels, polished spoks, Clip on bars, and so on and so on and so on.

I don't know if photographer is the right word... maybe a tech geek? Thank you for the compliment. Went to school for film, shot weddings for a year and a half... Hell is the best way to describe it. I just shoot photos for fun. I've done a wedding here and there for friends.

Right now I am working in the Off-Road Suspension/Racing Industry. So I have access to an entire shop for building 500K Off-Road Race Cars. Man did I luck out.

"A bunch of dysfunctional freaks " Well, I can only speak for myself ;D

"CB450K4" Um...uh....I count two...yes, left right, two ;)
Unless I'm more confused than ussual, isn't the proper designation CB450T?
If not I blame the flying monkeys, they just wont leave me alone. ;D :p

I must admit that I love the monochrome look! my bike (not a cafe') is a '82 CB900F with a late model ford charcoal gray and I powder coated my wheels gloss black. (they're dirty in the pic) I'm currently building a '70 CB450 for my wife and I've just gotten the wheels taken apart to have the hubs and outer rims powder coated black and I'm polishing the chrome spokes. I hope to see more of your bike as you progress with the build!
