JULY 2012 - MID OHIO AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Can't say enough about what a great day Saturday was. Had a great ride down and back with Axeugene, then got to meet a bunch of you guys and walked through most of the swap meet helping look for Honda parts. May have to camp out next year!

Hope to see you all sooner than later!

Matt

Now that you guys got mid Ohio out of the way and are sobering up, don't forget, the grand finale will be here before you know it in the form of barbers.....gear up! Looks like you kids had a blast. Can't wait to see you all very soon!

Mad science bitches!

I put my bike in the cafe racer show. First time I ever a had anything in a show. It was pretty cool to see all the people checking it out and taking pictures.
After the show, I was loading it on the trailer and I had someone come over and try to buy it.

Not sure who this good looking guy is, but he is wearing a Do The Ton shirt.

Oh, and I know the feeling as I had never done a show before- unfortunately it took up most of the day, but it was fun answering questions about the BMW project.

it was a good time, great to see some old friends and make some new ones...

On the BMW, was it a front and rear blow out or just rear? Why take off both wheels? Isn't the BMW tool kit fantastic- nearly everything you need . . .

I am just guessing, but probably to get the rear up that high to make it easier to work on the rear while on the center stand.

it was a rear blow out ( at about 70-75mph ) you need to remove the front to get the rear high enough to clear the fender. Jim had a flat at the beginning of the season and vowed never to get stuck on the side of the road again.

That's me! in front of me in the green tee is axeugene. Very nice bike too!

There couldn't be a more oppurtune place to lose the teeth on a sprocket.

Thanks again for everything fellas.

I apologize for not getting any pictures. I was always either too busy enjoying the moment or too busy trying not to pass out from the hangover.

ahhh my anonymity is compromised..... cool pics beatnik it was good to talk with you guys for awhile. Awsome you guys had the tools and wherewithall the fix your bikes on the road. One of the benefits of having built a bike from the ground up. Who won the japanese category in the cafe tent?

It would be interesting to start a thread for "head shots" of ourselves. Put faces to names.

This motorcycle scares children and gets thumbs up from old gear heads. "is it suppose to smoke like that"

I'm not camera friendly, therefore I'm unable and unwilling to post pictures of myself :)
