JULY 2012 - MID OHIO AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

;D if I can find something for 100 or less I can take it, that is about all the spendig $$ I have for the trip that isn't for fuel, food or beer. I did tell her you had a trailer though ;D

Well if my bud goes down with us he will be in a cage so we can throw a cooler in the back and take food, beer, what ever with us to lower the cost of that stuff . I hate it when place know most dont and charge a arm and a leg for a 1.00 hotdog so i love beating the system LOL

That sounds good to me. Can't wait. Getting excited. I have to get my internet hooked up at home to get my mapquest route all planned and ready.

Any help i can give on this end of the trip just let me know man and yepper starting to get pumped up to go ! ;D

NP, thanks. I have been down most of the interstates going to Troys and Barber. I should be able to get to Vonyinzer's in Beaver PA ok, then we will be riding as a group and I'll let someone who knows lead. I just need to have the print out of instructions for getting into Beaver really. Sucks I have to do almost all interstate but oh well, better than not riding at all. ;D

Dad, my brother inlaw, and myself are heading out thursday. I guess they open the doors to venders thursday afternoon. Dad and I already have our tickets, but my brother inlaw does not. Does anybody know if he will be able to buy a ticket at the gate thursday and allowed to come in with us? I can't wait!!

Ya, single day and weekend tickets are available at the gate. We bought 'em there last year and we're doing the same this year because we're still not 100% sure of being there. You'll pay more, but they are available. :)

I should be there Thursday as well.

I wasn't sure if they would sell him a ticket thursday and let him in when the gates do not open to the public untill friday morning.

Did you rent a spot for the swap meet?

We did and it used to be the spot came with two tickets. This year I think we had to buy our tickets seperate. I will have to check on the website to see if the have any info.

tickets are 55.00 for a 3 day pass and you can get them at the gate !

12 more days. I wish I had more money to take so I could buy more stuff I don't need.

I may bring a few guns from my collection in case I can use them for barter. Looking for Honda CB450, 550, 350 stuff. Or, more outside of my budget: BMW/Triumph classics.

Thats what I am going to have to do. I think I,m going to try to sell my '69 mini trail out there. They seem to be good sellers.

Originally, I was going to try to sell my DT while we were there. But now I am going to keep it. Maybe I'll sell the 400f if I get the right offer.

Its a mods vs rockers show....
The hondas will be priced higher then the brit iron.

In NYC the bargains are anything non honda, its like the hipsters only know how to spell honda

ill be looking for euro projects, interesting parts or maybe a 400f...lol
I found last year that the whole bikes were way over priced for me atleast. I did manage to pay for the trip buy having a good eye for some parts.

We have had better luck selling projects (needs to be restored) that are pretty much all there than complete turn key bikes or bikes that do not need much. I think I would rather buy a project in pieces than a "just rebuilt" bike. Thats where the fun is.
