Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

I always vote with "which would I want to ride" and surprisingly the one with the most amount of craftsmanship isn't always the one I'd want to throw a leg over.

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

All stunning examples gents. Im sure the bikes that dont get the title will be back to fight it out again.

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

WOW, I went in expecting to vote for the gulf. But I wasn't expecting to be so blown away by the lineup... There is some seriously bad-ass, and beautiful stuff going on here!

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

This is not getting any easier. My personal preferences are Wingspan and Ringo's builds. They look lighter and cleaner so that appeals to my sense of what looks "right". I was trying to work out why the two black and caramel 4's are not working for me and it's probably because they don't look as "clean" and simple. Too much going on. I don't like black wheel rims on any bike, but on Ringo's they are less intrusive for some reason.

Maybe that's the key - a cafe racer needs to look "light" and vestigial for me. Your mileage may vary.

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

Man, I love all these bikes. They would all make BOM, but I had to go with the Gulf. Been following so long and it turned out soo well. That being said, I had a few moments hesitation over Wingspans, that bike is sweet too. Sooo hard to decide, wingspan you should have drug you ass for a few more days to finish in June ;D

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

This may be the toughest field I've voted for yet. Before checking out this thread it was a two way tie. Now I'm screwed.

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

BWJ's bike isn't loud (in the colour sense) but it's beautiful... If I saw that rip past me, I would probably need to change my pants.
Ringos bike is colourful and stunning as well... They are all just something else this month, I wish there were more months in the year so we can get them all on there...

If BWJ loses we should add a month to the calendar called "febtober" and put his bike on it...

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

Just wondering.. Out of the four, do any of you guys build semi-professionally or just for a hobby?

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

Just a hobby for me. I've repaired a pair of wrecked sport bikes (for myself), but the T500 is my first crack at any sort of vintage rebuild or cafe style bike.

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

Hobby at the moment for me as well.

My CB750 is my first ground up restoration/build and definately not my last. I love to tinker and wrench but I would not make a good pro builder because I hate deadlines, like to take my time, and wouldn't want to part with any of them!

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

That makes you a "slow fessional"
;D ;D

All the builds this month are excellent in there own right! Well done to all.
I have to keep it local!

Wow I'd proudly ride any of these bikes. So I guess next months vote is for October?

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

I really like Wingspans.....that being said, all four are incredible!! Great work guys!

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

Is it wrong that I spent more time voting for BOTM than I did for the President? I'm stoked to see who wins, could go any way. Nice job guys

Re: JUNE 2011 BOTM - VOTING

me too lol, we just had our federal election here in canada. Instead of picking one I drew a skull and crossbones on all those fukers.
