The bike was found in a 17th century crypt near the Carpathian Mountains by a wandering Gypsy assasin in 2010. It was draped in a covering made from the tanned hides of a thousand virgin sacrifices. Placed opon its handlebars was the head of the famed Minotaur. Its eyes still alive. The tank was filled with the blood of a demon named Sagrul, who daonated the life giving fluid believing that the bastard machine was the key to unlocking human kinds demise. The nameless assasin sat opon the machine, and knew its evil was too much for mere mortals to posess. He carted it away in a haunted 12th century carriage once used to haul the corpses of burned witches to the closest cliff overlooking the sea, and pushed it in. He believed that he had rid the world of its dark powers. But alas, it resurfaced last summer. Washed ashore in the Americas, magically no worse for wear. Opon seeing it I knew my destiny lied before me. It was still rife with the stench of the dead when I rode it home. Vote for the XS of DOOM.
I'll have one of whatever Von is drinking ;)

milehigh, thanks for the added pics. In the one used for voting, it's difficult to see what the "effect" on the tank is. At first look I thought it was wrapped/painted to look like smoke, or maybe skulls. The machine turned finish really shows up well in that last pic you posted. It's not something you see everyday and came out great. Outstanding job ;)

The only question for a voter, that comes to mind is do you stand or sit to piss? help restore some masculinity to this ever softening MOTORCYCLE site and vote for vonyinzer xs for junes botm. Lets put away cheese cake and hot tea and crack open a bottle of wiskey

Thanks for the nomination! I realize this type of bike isn't typical for DTT but I like to get dirty every now and then. :) This project started out by searching Craigslist. I found two 82 xs400 for $275. I got em home and started stripping them down. I originally was going to make a scrambler style bike based on the xs chassis but I soon realized I needed better suspension/brakes. Luckily my dads neighbor had two xt350 chassis rotting away in his shed. I picked both of them up for $100. I did a rear disc conversion and fabbed a sub-frame and engine cradle onto the xt frame. I did every bit of work myself (minus the stitching on the seat) It has a trail tech vapor dash, shinko 255 trial pro rear tire and Metzler karoo 2 front tire. the exhaust is custom. Ive only put about ten miles on it but.......so far so good. Thanks for taking the time to check it out. Here are a few before and after shots. Here is a link to the build as well.

aLthough i loved vonyinzer' tale of doom. I have to give my vote to milehigh. it just ticks all my boxes at the end of the day. That tail light on the 550 is crazy cool though and will certainly be used by many builders to come. tough field

Hey Millenium...

1. Rad bike!

2. I have a plastic front fender from a 79 TS125 enduro that you need. Same color blue as your frame. PM me your addy and Ill send it your way. My treat.

Also... Pics coming tomorrow. Whether ot helps my cause or not is doubtful. Pretty sure Im getting waxed here. Oh well. Just remember that I cannot control the dark and powerful force that lives within the XS. You have been warned. He is angry, and he craves flesh.

Oh, and in case anyone has doubts still... I put about 60 or so miles on the chop today and one blow fuse aside, shes still in one piece. Running lean (new jets will be here Monday) but otherwise its dead nuts solid.

Millennium,
Thanks for the additional eye candy. I honestly had no idea you put that much work into that bike. Great job man. Really nice work.

How do you like that trail tech dash. I was looking at those a couple days ago.

Ps. Love the picture of your son and the bikes :)

Pss. Is that a triumph tiger in the background. Those bikes do things to me. So sick!

Thanks Jonny! Yeah the old yamaha has come a long way. I really like the trail-tech dash so far. It is really user friendly. It is compact and discrete and yet does so much. My son is my garage buddy. He has been there helping me with the bike all the way. He loves motorcycles. The tiger in the background is my camping gear hauler/ commuter. I bought it last fall and I LOVE it so far. Triumph make an awesome machine. Thanks for looking.

Results are tight with just a couple days left, so get your votes in! One vote could make the difference this month.

Yaaaa.... The photo shoot fell through. Bummer. Just go ahead and vote for my bike anyway. Its totally the right thing to do.

Since I'm on a bobber bender right now and Vons Xs looks damn sweet, it's got my vote. His story of brutality and damnation put a scare in my spinkter. Anyone who can go through those lengths to seek out and find a bike in such a remote area definitly has my vote. I would have stopped at my local Dunkin Donuts and got a coffee and called it quits.

All kidding aside.......A bunch of great builds up for BOTM. Good luck guys!

Voted. Hope it helps. Interesting bikes this month; a good representation of the kind of bikes that are built here.

I agree Deviant. Lots of variety.

It seems like every month the quality gets better. Some of you guys are really talented. Congrats again
