Just bought, and already finished. My New 81' GS450 Sport.

SquadraCorse

Coast to Coast
Got this thing yesterday. Not going to do a single thing to it other than clean up what tiny amounts of surface rust exist. 7000 original miles. Has a nice 2 into 1 pipe with a beautiful high pitched crackle on song. This thing has retro 80's style for days.

Very nice, I have the same pipe on mine, but it's completly black. I'm finding that I really enjoy these little engines, great find and good luck with it!

What's the deal with the tops of my front shocks? Blue anodize is never really an OEM part lol. Obviously it's for adjusting pressure in the fork, but is it factory?

I know mine has nothing blue anodized, haha. It doesn't look factory, but I'll triple check and look at mine tonight when I get home. I didn't even notice that in the pics when I looked, very interesting. If I don't see anything, I'll look through my Clymer and see if they have anthing about some type of factory adjustment valves for the fork springs. Man looked at the pictures again, that tank is sick, very edgy.

Nope nothing, mine have black plastic caps, and there are no pictures or explanations of anything about adjustable valves in the Clymer...very interesting.

Thanks for checking man, I'll look into and see if there is anything written on the caps.

Those look like aftermarket fork caps that allow you to add air pressure to the forks. They were stock on some Kawasaki's and some Honda's. I have them on my '87 Kawasaki Concours, takes 7 to 10 P.S.I. and does smooth out the ride. BTW great looking bike!
