Been Around the Block
Picked this up about a year ago from the son of the original owner. It was last reg. in 78' and only has 2k miles. I was torn whether or not to leave it stock, but since I sold my other cafe I decided that I would mod it, but not hack it up too badly.

I have ordered a lot of parts to get this project going. I am getting help from a local shop (Saso Racing) in Utah with a few things . So far I have worked on it about 7 days, I will try to post pictures and document the rest of the build. I want to track this bike so we might see some alum. rims and $500 shocks... Stay tuned.

Welded new mounts for the tank, been working on wiring for the handlebar switches. I notched the switch housings out instead of drilling through the clip-ons. Reasoning for this was it will make life easy if I decide to swap bars later on. If I did it would be Tarozzi low rise for a bit for upward riding position.

I ordered some Hagon shocks, and a 7" x 9.5" c1 Cutlass seat from Airtech, I hope it will fit, if not I can get a C4 that is an inch smaller. Im hoping to get the look right. I'm trying to make an effort to work on something everyday, its the culmination of all the little things done right that make a bike look good in the end. Looking at getting rear sets now, wiring, then install seat, repaint areas that were grinded or welded.

If you see the older pictures I worked on the headlight ears today. I shortened them up atleast an inch, im worried they are too short now... The bottom layer is ABS plastic. Used carbon fiber on the outside. I ordered mini turn signals, thats what the other hole is for. They will work for now, I want to weld up some aluminum rod later on.
