Just getting started out in Utah

Not fu%&!n 'round since 93
Hey all, my name's Curtis and I've been working on enduros and dirt bikes for a few years and recently saw a cafe racer around here and fell in love. I've just started working on my first street bike (honda frankenbike) now that summer's rolled around and class is out! I can't wait until it's finished

Sweet man! I'm just here in North Salt Lake, and have built a few Honda 350's now.. So, if you run into any issues with yours, I'd be happy to help :)

Thanks! I'll let you know if I need anything!

Pictures? :) Great to see yet another Utahn on here.

I'll see if I can dig some pictures up, I'm still pretty early into the build though, I'm doing 12 credit hours and I just got a job too but I should be making some progress soon here...

So I've dropped the back of the tank a little bit since this picture was taken to get it flatter, and this is kinda what I'm shooting for with the back end. I'm gonna cut just behind the rear shocks and move that upright hoop in and angle it back to match the curve of the seat. When I'm at my mom's house next I'll get some pics of the battery box I've built and the wiring I've redone.

That tank that you are running on the 350 is sweet, what did it come from? It looks like a great start! And I dig the 400. It looks pretty clean AND you can take chicks on the back.. I'd really like something like that :)

It's off of a cb 750 I believe, yeah I wanted an oversized tank and that came with an ignition switch, key and petcock too so I was like why not! I'm not too crazy about the seat cover but I picked it up for a pretty good price, for some reason it's very hard to start regardless of my carburetor fiddling haha, I haven't had a ton of time to work on it either though :( I hate making bikes feel neglected! Also, chicks on the back are one of the best things about motorcycles haha!!

Well, shoot.. Let me know if you ever feel like getting rid of the Hawk! I've been looking for a two-seater, and red is my color :)
