Just joined in Toronto - CB750

Hey all,

Been browsing this site for a while now, thought I'd throw my hat into the ring.
I rode dirt as a kid, and got back into riding few years ago with a couple of CB360's that fell into my lap. One ran, kinda, the other is now in pieces. I just sold the runner, but have a 360 that's still got 95% of the mechanicals intact if anyone's interested in talking about it (most of the cosmetics are slashed and burned).

Last year I found a nice 74 cb750 out in the sticks for 900 bucks, and have spent the winter doing the following:
- installed dyna ignition
- new wire harness, complete rewire (what a f*%in' mess it was in...)
- new tires and muffler (not pictured here), battery, cables, starter, blinks
- rebuilt/wired all handlebar switches
- carb rebuild
- brake job
- tune up (oil, valves, plugs, etc.)
- replace crusty, leaky 1970’s original tubing (oil, gas, overflow)
- presently working on restoring an original airbox, but not sure if it’ll go on yet…. I do like the look of the pods

So, as you can see, it wasn't in awful shape, but now it runs much better and looks great with only a bit of minor cosmetic work.

As you can see from the pics, it's stock. I figure I will ride it stock this season and collect what I need to cafe it over the winter.

I'll probably go with rearsets, cafe seat, clip ons, and new lights all around (head, blinks and tail) and leave the paint as is. If you've got anything you think I could use, please let me know.

Re: Just joined in Toronto

Welcome!

Bike looks great in stock trim!

Looks like you did the right mods so far to keep her running strong.

Lots of stuff out there to cafe a 750 if you so desire.

Welcome! I like the jugs painted black on the motor. I may be doing a head gasket replacement and am considering doing some paint.

Welcome to the site!!..
Are we gonna see you on a thursday night??

Cheers
