just moved to DC area (NOVA)...anyone here?

Welcome back.

I just recently moved back to Arlington from California. I sold my 350 while I was out there so I'm in the market for a new bike.

Welcome back. You'll find a few people who ride older/cafe bikes around here. Where in Nova are you?

NoVa here as well. South Riding to be exact.

Are there any get togethers usually between the vintage/cafe owners in the area?

I live in MD and love taking the ferry over to Leesburg. Let me know if anyone wants to ride this spring.

Will do...and if you're ever in Northern VA in the meantime, give me a heads up and we can meet up somewhere...

I am on the south side of Frederick, MD. Leesburg is about 20 minutes from my place.

I am always down for wrenching and riding.

Let me know if any of y'all NOVA cats want to get together for a beer and maybe spin a wrench or two.

I grew up in Gaithersburg but am living in Silver spring now. I ride up to Frederick and even Brunswick all the time. Next time I'm up your way I'll get in touch. Are you working on any projects this winter?

Is anyone going to the International Motorcycle Show in DC this weekend?

I'll go to the Timonium show, but not the DC show. I went the last two years and it was a little lame. I would go if you have never been before, but if you have, expect the exact same thing.

Yeah, I hear you...the DC show has become lame, and I have no particular desire to wait in a long line to sit on a Ducati Diavel (however you spell it).

The Timonium show sounds like it's more fun..

Add another number to the NOVA gang.
I've been a ghost on here since I joined, but the board has been a good resource for fixing up my CL350.
I'm new to bikes (at least the ones with motors). So it's been a fun learning process.
Do any of you ever get together to work on your bikes? I'd be interested in any wrenching parties going on (probably more likely when it gets nicer out).

I don't think there has been any wrenching get togethers, but I am all for it.

Beer, bikes, wrenches... yep I am on board.

Where are you located? Do you have a running bike now? I ride my bike year round, and to a few cafe's around Fairfax City on the occasional evening. Always up to meeting other riders from this site...
