Found the thead! Even though I don't speak ancient Kawasakineze I am an old dog who wants to get into vintage drag bikes and diggin what's goin on here!

Oh and as long as we are talking Tracy Bodies... He made them for other bikes as well. I missed out on this one that was for a GS1000 / 1100 Sazook that I wanted to buy, guy was offering it for $100. Sadly it was the shipping from Texas that more than doubled the price so I passed. Still kicking mysely for not finding a way to pick it up. ::)

Haha, I saw it som where and thought it was funny. It's, rolling on the floor laughing so hard my Sombrero fell off and I dropped my Taco.

It's kind of a joke about the normal use of those short hand things..

Re: Kawasaki Tracy H2... Back From the Dead!!

I think it said to use 1/2" mild steel plate....should weigh about 800 lbs....glad we've got a FBG engine to move it ;D

Good work! ;)

Spark up the welder!! ;D

Re: Kawasaki Tracy H2... Back From the Dead!!

O'k, off to the shop this week to get the hinge... I mean the frame... braced this week. :D

I'll also get the steering stem pressed out of the h2 bottom triple tree and pressed and welded into the zrx1200 triple tree. 8)

As well, the rear section of the frame will be modified to accept the zrx1100 swing arm. I'll have to check to be sure the 1200 wheel will fit the 1100 swing arm too. :D

Pics to follow. :)

Re: Kawasaki Tracy H2... Back From the Dead!!

Are all steering stems pressed in? I have a CBR and a Katana stems I need swapped but they appear to be welded at the bottom. I haven't messed with these before so I was reluctant to put it in the hydraulic press at the marina. Is is fairly straight forward, because it would save me machining work if I can press them out?

Ya, they may have to be ground before pressing them out.... sorry!! :-[ My bad.

Replacing stems has been the easiest way to swap front ends in my experience so far. I'll keep y'all posted! :D

Re: Kawasaki Tracy H2... Back From the Dead!!

I had '09 ZX14 forks installed in my ZRX (the reason we have the ZRX forks to works with on this project). You can press the stems for both out.....it seems fairly common with Kawi's anyway.
