Given that the bike is large and not a CB100, it might make more sense to use a seat that works with that frame etc. Hotwing do a Tracker seat of gold wings that would probably be a perfect fit and would allow you to go with a more practical Street Tracker look that would be easier to pull off on that bike.

No major progress, but I did drop the frame off at the welding shop this morning. I can get some pictures in the morning. A couple people have asked where the machined stuff is coming from, and it's coming from the machine shop at the tech school. We have been working on a moonbuggy for a race put on by NASA. The welding on the frame and swing arm is also coming from the tech school.
Just got the frame back. Took a couple pictures, and noone jump on the "those vertical piece aren't straight." I know they aren't, and they will all get cut off soon. The Seat hoop will get welded to the piece behind the main supports.
Thanks for all the comments and advice.
After a little time away from the project, dad and my brother got the swingarm ready to be welded, which should happen in the next couple of days, and also designed some custom rearset plates to move the whole peg assembly and should have those CNC'd this week. Thanks for the compliments and suggestions guys.
No pics today, but we did get alot of stuff accomplished in regards to the frame. The seat hoop is tacked in, and some brackets to hold the radiator overflow bottle are in, as well as enough little stuff to fill up to take up 4 hours. I'll try to get some pics once I drop it off at school in the morning.
Finished some parts for the bike this morning. Finally got the radiator overflow finished, and got the first rear set plate made. I have some milling I do in order for them to work, but I need something to do at school. We also fiberglassed the back of the seat to get it to come down closer to the frame. The picture quality isn't great, but the first is te overflow, and then the back of the seat.
Just a suggestion, but it might look cleaner if the loop were angled up to match the seat. You could do that by bending the loop or a simple wedge cut would achieve the same outcome.

Thanks, but we already have it welded up, and it is angled to match the able of the stock frame. We were trying to fiberglass the back of the seat to close up the gap. We are also going to mount the taillight off the hoop, so we need a little room.
Finally got some pictures of the swing arm today, as well as the wheels and seat. For te wheels, we did painted spokes and hub and polished lip. The seat has had some fiberglass and Bondo work on it to bring the back of it down to the seat hoop.
Coming along pretty good today. Got tires and rotors mounted on the wheels, got the seat sanded and primed, got the swing arm sanded down to get polished, and got every part sorted for easy access.
Nothing worth pictures lately. Have the swingarm polished, the seat has been sanded and primered a couple tmes, the frame has been sanded to get ready for paint, and picked up a couple parts we needed.
Hope to have some more updates as summer goes on.
