Keihin CV carbs, where to connect vacuum gauge

Is it best to make an adaptor to attach my vacuum gauge to the bell of my carbs or is there a simpler solution? For a 71 cb450 specifically.

I'd be surprised if there isn't a provision for a barb already there. Have you checked a service manual?

There isn't a barb, but there's a vacuum port on there that you can thread a barb into. It has a brass flat head screw in it near the motor side of the carburetor.
