Been Around the Block
Hello,
I did my search and got close to my answer. but want to post this to see if there are any tricks I maqy not be hearing about.
I just got a "new - to - me" Header and pipe. (thanks Tom). It is from the north east and has some pretty good rust on it. Mostly on the inside of the header bends and in the crotch. It is(was) a chrome Kerker megaphone. The rust is pretty deep, but no holes. The pipe is solid, just rusty.
I am hoping that sand paper, elbow grease and VHT will do the trick, but was wondering if anyone knew a good way to get the rust "loosened up" or "broken down" so as to facilitate easier sanding and prep for paint.
Any ideas anyone?
