Kick Start Spring Problem

My 1972 CB350 has a very strange issue. When I got it, the starter clutch would slip, so I would never use the electric starter. However, once the bike would kick start, the kick starter just hangs now, and there is that continuous cranking sound. I've opened up the right side clutch cover (and watched all the oil come out), but i couldn't tell if there was anything wrong. Does anyone know what piece i might need?
