Kickstart assembly for xt500 fit sr250?

I have browsed thru the posts about installing kickstart assemblies, but I still have questions. I have an 81 Yamaha sr250. I would like to install a kickstart, and trying to figure out what is compatible. I understand that a tt250 or xt250 would work, but I was wondering if one from an xt500 or tt500 would work. Also, what years would be compatible.

the 500 will be bigger i think ,go somewhere like cmsnl.com or bike bandit and start comparing part #'s
