knee dents

To combat the issue of laquer runs from gasoline, I will probably bring to a body shop and have them throw some urethane clear over it. I also read somewhere that there is such a thing called 2k paint out of rattle can. They say its expensive but is urethane and chemical resistant. Anyone have any experience with this stuff???

go to your local auto paint supply shop. I know they have 2k primers in rattle can. I've used it , but I haven't used any paint. (I work in a shop where we mix our own paint). but the primer is very good.

Heres what you want $21.50 a can

Here is a pick of the bike so far. Seat pan is in primer. The back will be red and the cushion will match the dark gray.

I actually just bought a qt. of PPG urethane clear. It cost me $34 for the set up. I will spray everything with the clear once all painted and wet sanded. Should increase chem resistance. Thanks for the heads up.

Great work man, especially for first try!! I've stripped my CB350 tank and am planning to hammer my own knee dents but am a bit scared myself. Do you happen to recall which youtube video(s) you watched to learn this? My plan was to get my tank powder coated when I'm done so I was going to use Hi-Temp Lab-Metal body filler that can withstand up to 1000 degrees.

Anyone ever try that route?
