kreem clogged "under gas tank tubes"

I recently relined an old 1968 CB350 gas tank with KREEM but forgot to put anything in the two tubes that come down and under the tank ( normally they are connected with a fuel line to each other, i believe their purpose is to keep an even amount of gas in both sides of the tank ). Now they are clogged, there seems to be dirt or something stuck in them and i also assume they have been Kreemed over. How can i open back up the passage way ? Thanks

I have used a couple windings of guitar string in a drill; you may have to try straightening the crossover tubes and drilling them out.

Or you could remove the KREEM with MEK and use a liner that isn't as prone to failure.

hmmmm , not sure i am up to try bending the tubes straight/ drill out. Its a pretty near perfect old tank so id rather not tamper with the structure ( i also don't really have the metal working skill). im a little confused by what you mean by attaching guitar strings to a drill? Are you suggesting i bend a string back and forth over its self so it becomes many loops ,and try to tighten a drill to one side of the many loops? (when i read that in my head it sounds rude, not supposed to be, honest question!) Thanks

You got it - a solid wire string, and wind it tight with pliers.

Do whatever you did the first time twice as hard. It works for everything.

HA!

Have you got an old speedometer cable you could cut a short piece off of?

And too much is just right.

Good call on the speedo cable, that's pretty clever
