But at 15 an hour that's as much as some people make. Hard to justify that

Yeah, I am tossing up whether I should join the Melbourne workshop, I already have all the tools and my own space. But the real value in the space would be if you have a running riding bike, but live in a rental or apartment, and 15 an hour is a bargain if it includes some oversight by someone with more mechanical experience then you, even if they're not a full blown mechanic.
