Rebuilt 1976 Kawasaki KZ400. I built this bike for my wife right before she found out she was pregnant- she wanted a British style cafe racer. Less than 10 miles on it since all the work was done. Been sitting since completed over a year ago. Time to let it go. Clean NJ title in my name.
1976 Kawasaki KZ 400 D- stripped down to the frame and rebuilt.
9k on engine. Engine bored out with new pistons and rings. Head checked while apart. Side covers polished, Carbs rebuilt, Triumph up-swept pipes added, KN air filter with maintaining factory air box for dependability. Chain, sprockets, tires replaced right before I bought it so in very good shape.
Sportster take-off shocks in rear, Rebuilt forks with polished lowers, new fork boots added, Brake rotor cross-drilled for better stopping power,
Drag bars, custom single speedo mount for cleaner look, headlight visor added, tanks and side covers smoothed with custom paint, tank stripped and sealed inside. British style 'pedestrian cutter' front license plate, Rear fender shortened with custom taillight and custom tag bracket. Seat foam cut down and replaced with firmer foam (lower seat but more support) with factory seat cover. All wiring gone through. New Dyna ignition coils with custom braided wires and rewired circuit for better spark, new battery.
