well this is one idea i have , i thing is going to be ok . the part in blue tape need to be cut and weld back together . i am going to use the originals bearings the diameter is the same .
See what the diameter difference is in the original axle. You may be able to do a wheel bearing swap. Could be tricky though, as some mfgs. used proprietary bearings. Then, you will no doubt have to fabricate a spacer/adapter for the gixxer rotor, that is, if the rotors are the same size. I doubt that they are. I hear of some builders using mx hubs. Sounds like an interesting project. Good luck with it.

You not going to use the kz wheels? That's cool because I had a really hard time finding kz wheels in good condition. That is why mine are powder coated in that textured paint, to hide the pits.
