I dont see why it wouldn't. IIRC the motors are the same but the GPZ had different cams. something else to consider; I have seen guys put Zephyr 750 exhaust systems and carbs on kz650s/kz750s because the port spacing is the same. The Zephyr 550 is based off the old KZ550 motor. I would not be surprised at all if the ports were the same for the zr550/kz550. I have never researched it but it might be worth the trouble for more exhaust options and a nice carb upgrade.

Yeah, the exhaust ports should be the same on many of these KZ motors. 650/750 should be the same but I haven't measured the 550's. It would probably be close enough to hammer tweak a 650 pipe on it.
"With mods to the rear hanger plate, any four cylinder kawi 400/500/550 exhaust can be fitted, even later zx unitrack, ZR550 and GT550 shaft Ltd etc...."
I have an old Mac 4 into 1 exhaust for a KZ550 you can have. The headers have some pitting and have a couple of pinholes that need welded up, but it's yours if you want it. I can bring it to the thaw, so no shipping.

Man that would be awesome if you don't mind. The future of this bike is still unsure, could end up in a different form (more on that later) I appreciate it man!
