I looking for hint to make aluminium battery box without welding machine, anybody have topic on that?

kinda hard to fabricate a battery box without welding. Is there any particular reason you want to make it out of aluminum? You could make one out of steel and weld it together pretty easily. then drill holes in it to make it as light as aluminum. Otherwise you could use rivets. bike looks good keep it up.

I thought it would be easier to cut and bend with aluminum

Your bike looks great man. I just got an 82 KZ750 last month and getting ready to start on it. I sent ya a message about the seat.

Looks great. For the battery box You can bend the aluminum and then rivet together. Use the rivets as an accent on it. That's what I plan on doing. Wrenchmonkees have some cool ones.

What size front rim is that? I have a kz1100 and I want a smaller front, mine has a 19".

Is your battery box going to be visible? Do you want to fully encase the battery or just support it? Reinforced rubber straps work good, or just take some plain old flat-iron, bend and cut to fit and bolt to the frame somewhere (pref. w/ rubber mounts). Aluminum work-hardens quicker than steel I believe, but you can find better opinions on that.

thank for the battery box, i'll check that this winter.

i have 19" too on the front

Si tu as d'autres questions, n'hésites pas

I agree. I'm helping a friend caffeinate an 82 kz750 twin he just picked up, and would love to see pics of what others are doing to their kz.

Et voilà!:)

First thing I want to do: change my gaz tank color!

I want to do it myself...any tips? websites?

Philk7, where did you go for that? and how much $$$?

Thanks!

I pay 200$ for the tank with side cover, very professionnal work.
The paint shop is near St-Hyacinthe, like 45 min of Montréal
but I lost the the phone number and his name...
If you still interest, i can maybe found the number
