Let me first say that this bike looks incredible! I have an 81 KZ750 and I'm hoping to do some similar modifications. Where did you get your gauges? They look fantastic.

I also like the relocated license plate/lights/etc. I'm thinking about lopping off the rear fender altogether from mine and putting a painted scoop behind my front seat in lieu of a rear seat and getting kind of a cafe look happening. I'll post pics at a later date.

Nice work!

Hi guys!
i just received my seat from the upholsterer, i did a fantastic job!
it's the last thing i do this season on my bike, i'll paint my tank next winter.
And cut my front fender and add shock boots.

I am copying you seat, hope you don't mind :). I see you just moved up the rear fender. Did you just remove the inner fender, if so did you replace it with anything?

Hey Domsut

Sorry for my late late late anwser
I completely removed the inner fender and I cutted the rear fender, that it's!

Feel free to ask me other questions!
I will try to answer quickly!

Hey philk7 is there instructions somewhere on how to do the plywood work? I have an 83 kz750 spectre and am wanting to do my seat similar to yours. Thanks.

My wiring is a mess, so we cut my inner fender and kept it in for peace of mind. We cut the rear fender and used your seat idea. I'm pretty happy with the results. It only cost about $20 in materials and a couple of weekends.
