Hey guys, just wanted to post some video footage my brother took of the damage from last nights storm. A tornado crossed 411 highway and stopped the next road over, damaging a few businesses and local homes, flipping some vehicles over, and completely destroying a little auto shop. This happened a mile from our house. This happened again about 6 months ago, so close that we could see the damage the tornado made from our front yard, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the damage this time. This isn't very common here, but it was a storm that started in KY i think and traveled this way that caused damage in other places.
Tornado Damage 411 South Maryville, TN 3/24/2011
I (Heard) punkin center/129 received minor storm damage, but nothing like the damage on 411 South, so no concerns really except the losses the businesses/people suffered, but no mention of anyone being hurt yet which is good.
Thought i'd share, pretty exciting around here when something like this happens, news choppers were out and lots of police, county, city, state, other cities... they turned Brickmill BP(nearby little gas station) into the construction/DOT/police headquarters for the day.
