LED tail lamp that works

Got the signals sorted, now I need a tail light people can actually see. Does anyone have a better source for LED bulbs than superbrightleds.com or jdscustomlighting.com? I've tried both bulbs superbright sells and neither of them were bright enough for the brake light to be seen in daylight when braking. I'm also under the limitation that I've installed a lovely, miniature cat's-eye taillight that's too short for a standard bulb. So, what I need is a 15mm base 1157 (dual contact) lamp that's no more than 33 mm long with red LEDs facing out and white LEDs around the perimeter (to light the plate) and bright enough to actually show up. Anyone?

cheers!

Thanks for the thought, Hotsos - if I can't find a lamp I may go that route, but finding/making one that will actually fit the housing may prove challenging and I don't want to get rid of the housing.

Unfortunately, Kioskguy, I've already got the housing (this one, in fact, though I got it off Amazon: http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-lighting-parts-small-chrome-cats-eye-taillight-62-21601.html), so I really want a bulb I can put in that, rather than a whole new setup.

Shoudn't be too hard, I have mine in a housing smaller than this one, maybe look for one designed for a sparto or something of a similar size. mine also has 4 white bulbs that face downwards for the license plate:

Oh, I like that style. I added it to my wishlist for when I get to that stage of my build. You might try sending the DC guys an email asking them if they are aware of a good solution. They are very helpful.

Dammit, Dime City! Stop selling stuff i want. This is gonna be one hell of an expensive summer lol. That chrome cateye light is really nice.
