LED Tail light that will give yours buddies a sun tan

I installed one of these about a month ago and it was so bright I had to turn it down with a different resistor. If you want to be seen you cant go wrong here.
It was about $30, maybe $35 all said and done. Requires a bit of work and a little bit of math but its well worth doing. Here's a calculator so you can pick the resistor http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz

I used an LED stop/turn/tail light from a semi. Crazy Bright.

I got a few complaints from guys riding behind me that it hurt their eyes.

Same here, except I countersunk mine into the OEM taillight lens.

I like hitting the brakes and seeing the cage driver behind me squint

I don't quite see the safety advantage in blinding the people behind you.
I also don't see the safety advantage of being an inconsiderate douchebag.

Are you saying that you used only one of the cree LED's?

Hey tobydmv! Could you post a pic of it mounted please. Just so I can get an idea of size and look. Do you think I could use this for indicators provided I went with lower intensity led's?

Digging this one back up. How big around is this light? I couldn't find any dimensions on their website. Do you have a close-up pic of it?
