LED turn signal issues again

I'm running 4 led turn signals.

I've bought a 2 pin led flasher relay, Installed it and it's not working right.

When I'm not using turn signals lights are off.
When i use left or right turn signal the corresponding signals dimly light up and flashes brighter. It doesn't go off and on like if expect, just dim then bright, dim the bright until I cancel the signal.

Can anyone help me out. What am I missing?

Sounds like you might need a 3 pin relay. One with an earth to bleed off any current running through when it should be flashing.

It's a Kawasaki z650 1979 c3 but the standard loom has been binned as it was a royal mess.

I am Using an ultima plus wiring kit which was doing silly things with turn signals and not operating like it should so I've just supplied the indicator switch with a 12v supply which my relay is wired to inline.

My handle bar switch has a signal power in and a left signal out and right signal out, I have the 2 LED blinkers connected to left and 2 to the right.

What I did find was if I connected a standard bulb to the indicators as well as the 4 LEDS it would make them flash properly and the standard light bulb would also illuminate.

Strange one. I have another relay I can send you to test things out. If you like it you can keep it for $8.
