Can I have this?!? Haha, but seriously did you order this or build it yourself?

I built it myself a few years back (no longer have the bike though, sold it two years ago :(). You can view the build thread for the tail here: http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=3374.0

Can someone smarter than me figure out what this would look like on a bike?

It says its supposed to mount on the axle bolt, would the plate and light be turned vertically then? Otherwise I'll just welt some hangars to the pan under my seat and mount this somehow

I got the one without the number plate bit.

I don't have many good pictures of the rear of the bike (this one was taken before the electrical was even finished), but here's my tail section. It's a 72 CB350F and I bought a fibreglass tail section from Airtech Streamlining that was meant for a larger CB750 sized bike. I wasn't concerned with putting a passenger on the bike and am not a fan of the large tail sections that go the full length of the rear wheel. So I chopped about 5 inches off the front of it, and carved out the sections at the rear where the turn signals go. Had my buddy weld up a bracket for the turn signals, and mounted the LED brake light in between (can't find a pic of that unfortunately). Had the seat upholstered by a guy who did my car's bucket seat before and voila. Seat is decently comfortable and really helps to set it apart from the mass of cafe's being built in Vancouver.

You can mount it horizontally or vertically. Horizontally will just stick out the side further.

I used a clear LED light out of a Ducati Monster and fabricated the seat and tail section around it. I am going for more of a modern cafe inspired look, so its not very vintage.

Reviving this because its a great source of inspiration both for lights and Tail designs!

Here's Mine with my tail / lack thereof.

Im Currently searching for inspiration for a custom tail and lighting setup for a GB400 I've just aquired

Entire setup is custom, I designed and made everything including the lens and circuitry for no other reason than to give it a go.

edit - Close up shots are prior to a coat of tint paint as seen in pic of full bike.

this is my first post with pics hopefully it works.

I used an old Lucas lamp which fits in to my underseat tray. Then bolted the rear end of the seat to the plate.
