**Lets see the Leathers....**

That Jackets label is fadded too badly to tell the brand. The only thing I can make out is "longhorn range". Its a black tag with what used to be gold writting. Interesting, it fits like a 38, but the tag reads 42! I guess each manufacturer has different standards of size! Thats why its good to know your size and buy based on demensions rather thatn tag size when buying sight unseen. On the righthand inside there is a tag that reads Real Leather, also black with gold. I assume that the longhorn range is where the leather came from? Are there any other places that may reveal the brand? None of the snaps have logos and the zippers are YKK.
I know certain companies label the snaps and have specific pulls that close in a specific direction, but do say USA manufactures use YKK zippers more than say others?

I will take some pics of the labels, but they are not collector pieces by any means, and I am fine with that, but thanks for the heads up.

That would make it an 80s jacket at the oldest. Not really a collectible jacket but it is a copy of a rare jacket which makes it cool in itself. Just wear it and enjoy.

Another one that came in...

very cool dude.
what do you look up when you search ebay?

I usually search on ebay.co.uk for those kinds of jackets.
I use the search: "vintage biker jacket", "vintage punk jacket", "vintage TT jacket", "Vintage Rivetts jacket"
Also I know a few really good ebay sellers in the UK: wearwolf-vintage, manormonkeys

Cool jacket Leon ;) ;) ;). I am going to have to post some more of my new ones soon. My wife just started riding and she has five jackets so far.... anyone interested in seeing girl jackets ? ? ? ??? ??? ???

No vintage protective gear for me. My gear about protection and not style. I usually wear textile touring gear on the street and leather for the track.

I've got a closet full of jackets and pants but my current favorite street gear is an Olympia hi-viz jacket and BMW pants. I also have an Aerostitch suit that I pull out in more inclement weather. The Aerostitch stuff is built like a tank and great for wet days but is just too hot for me in the summer.

My track suit is custom (we big boys don't fit into off the rack stuff), made to my measurements by "Barnacle" Bill at http://www.racingleather.com:

Well, here are a few more of my (beginning to be) mass collection of motorcycle jackets ;D ;D ;D. The cafe stlye jacket is a sears (60s' or 70') which was left to me by my dear departed friend Russell Huffman. He was in his late 70s' when he passed away and rode bikes all his life up until he became too ill to ride. The last time I rode with him I watched as he turned left at a red light and hammered his V-max for all it had...... smoke..... noise...... speed..... with a little ole man givin' it hell trying to beat an oncoming rainstorm. God speed Russell, you were a hell of a rider and womaniser   .
