Lithium charging system?

I will be using a battery tender lithium battery 12v 10-14amps, the battery sady that the max charge rate is 10a, butmy xs500 charge rate is like 12-15a i think, so would i need another voltage refulator for just charging the battery? Or is it ok to use it like that?

Not sure of other batteries, but Shorai lithium batteries dont like anything under 13v.

10 AMPS. max charge rate to the battery.

Volts and amps are two different things. You can have a 1 volt power supply that has 10 amps, and you can have a 1000 volt supply that has 10 amps. There is no correlation. You want to see 14 volts charging somewhere around 2000-2500 RPM. if you have that and no parasitic draw your fine.

I still suggest anyone who leaves a bike for more than a few days that they install a disconnect or manually disconnect the ground from the battery.

I got mixed up on my original post, i meant 14-15a instead of volt, factory it charges at 14-15a
