when I first saw the tesi in 1992 I thought goddDAYUM... gonna see that front end on every bike in the next decade!
nope!
sucks, works so much better than teles and yet...
need to see some home-made versions! ;D

The Tony Foal article is pretty interesting.
If you go back to home page there is enough information to help most people.
I've ridden BMW's with 'SAXON/MOTODD' style front 'forks' they are pretty amazing and look 'normal'
BMW out handled Suzuki RGV250 on my old test route ;D (at same speed, around 110mph)

yeah i have been interested in it for a long time, always though, here is the next step. Well still waiting for the rest of the manufactures to jump in to make it reality. There has to be a reason they haven't, I'm just wondering what.

Two reasons as far as I can tell.
1. it looks funny
Motorcyclists are a notoriously conservative bunch
2. No one is racing with it. Ron Haslam on the Yamaha ELF was last time it was being used, lot of racers couldn't get a feel' for hub center as it doesn't wobble and weave like a 'real' race bike ::)

well i think vyrus is planning on sending one of their bikes into lower division level races, maybe that'll get the next level thumbs up.

I love the look of the Vyrus 986 M2. in fact, i love everything about it. its all around cool.

I think i read somewhere that they are entering some lower class races with it. I'm with you in hoping it makes it to production bikes.

Nope, you aren't the only one... I had to save that last pic and attach it... but worth the effort ;)

I think dirt bikes should be like that.

KTM does have a dirt version. I just wonder how this set-up would hold up with some abuse though.

I think in an offroad, especially Dakar-like setting, service ability and reliability would be key factors.

Also, does it make steering more heavy or more light? I wonder how gravel and sand affect the Vyrus front end.

In a road racing environment it seems that anything that prevents the death wobble and improves stability would be successful, but its also an added cost, and just because something is better doesn't mean it sells bikes.

That dirt bike looks sweet, dont know whats with the fairing though. Is it just two mono shocks? front and back?
