Looking at a new bike..

I think I'd be a fool to pass up this deal a friend of a coworker has a 03 Buell XB9R he'd sell me for 2k, I've decided my little 440 is a little small for highway travel.. I'm thinking of getting a larger bike in the future to make a cafe racer but for now I'm leaning towards the buell for a street fighter..

Would I be a fool to pass up this good of a deal? I cant make my mind up lol so figured I'd ask some opinions.

its a pretty good deal, my cousin sold the same bike last year for $5500...i say go for it, oh and they are a "ton" of fun...

only thing that sucks is I'm giving up my kz440 for it, I'm already eyeballing around for larger bike to cafe thinking like one of the larger CBs or something.

But lol I think I'd be a fool to pass up the bike for 2k.. I've been on a 1200 and its a night and day difference between my kawaskai and it.

There are so many owners out there practically giving Buells away... or chopping them up for parts or for some God awful chopper project thing. Kind of sad, really

I cant find many for sale here locally at what I consider "good" pricing, but maybe towards the fall things will improve.

I can help with this.

I have a CB900F that needs a new home.

$2K for any XB in good shape and in running condition is dirt cheap to me... I've seen them on ebay sell for $3-4k and thought that was a shame. I mean, they're devalued enough because of how they're viewed in the sport bike world, very much the unwanted stepchild. I don't feel Buells are the joke everyone thinks they are, but after my XB project is done (assuming I can even sell it, that is), I don't envision owning another.
