that is a Standard tank and I may have a source for another. The guy I just got mine from thinks he has another " upstairs"...where ever that may be. Back in touch when I hear from him

He just called and it's a Special tank and not a Standard, sorry. I did see a few on Ebay but $$ is a bit steep on some of them.

Don't know if this was the case on your side of the pond, but in Europe the 850 (in theory) came with two tank options. one was the same as the 750 and the other was a 5.3 gallon tank that is taller and wider than the 750 tank. Pretty much all 850's sold in the UK came with the larger tank.

If your bike had the Special tank to begin with, you'll have to relocate the tank mounts up front. It's just a matter of chopping off the bungs and relocating them.

Have a look on UK e bay, 750 tanks don't sell for nearly as much in the UK as they do in the USA. Might be cheaper (even with shipping charges) I just bought a second 750 tank, that is clean as a whistle inside, dent free and in primer ready for spraying, for just under $50 including postage. I paid $40 posted for my other 750 tank and around $20 for the larger version of the 750 tank that was used on European 850's.

Usually I would say yes to selling it, but I want to keep it as a spare in case the carbon fibre "skinning" attempt I'm going to do on one of them ends up as an epic failure LOL

I got my standard tank for aroun $60 shipped. style without the emblem mounts, clean inside, but a few small dings here and there.
