Not sure if this is the right section will move it if not

So does anyone know anyone that would be interested in selling a bike in the South Carolina area?
Ive exhausted all my resources - trader, craigslist for SC and surrounding states and i cant seem to catch a break

So if anyone knows of anything please let me know

Depending on how populated your area is, it may take a while. I live in a very populated area in California and my area on Craigslist dwarfs big cities like San Diego. It took me a few months to find the bike I wanted. I literally had to look every day and sieze the moment when I saw a bike I wanted. Newer stuff seemed to stay on forever but these old project bikes went really fast. Good luck and keep looking.

Yea seriously i appreciate it, seems most of the ppl are either asking to much more they dont run period with seized engines

I dont know your area but with me and my friends, when ever we buy something off craigslist, we mob in at least 3 deep. We all carry a portion of the cash to be safe especially in the ghetto areas. My buddy just got a 280z for $5k the guy wanted $8. Last year a guy wanted $3500 for a LT Z-400 quad, I got it for $2000. Its easy to be on the internet asking for a ton of money but when you see the green backs there staring at you, its a little different. Bullshit walks, money talks and especially in todays Obamas economy, someone could shit in one hand and want in the other we all know which one will fill up faster. ;)

bahaha bahaha to true!! i usually pack heat when i go check things out... found a potential actually on fleabay its a gorgeous kz750 guys asking right under a grand

I'm in a super liberal state so no packing here. As far as getting a permit, a paper dog has a better chance of chasing down an abestos cat through the flames of hell than the average law abiding citizen being able to pack.
It does so well with crime though! I mean, it makes the law abiding people just bend over and take it from criminals instead of having a fighting chance. ::)
People forget their heritage, we're fighters, we're sheep dogs, we're not sheep. We dont sit there and take it and sit idly by to be oppressed. Proof of that is waking up every morning and drinking coffee and not tea ;)
Hooah!

One thing I gotta say about California though, I'm brown and I dont get hunted!!! ;D
And yes I do got a purdy mouth but you cant have it!!!!

What part of south Carolina? I live just cross the line in north Carolina, near hendersonville to be exact. And I land good deal about 4the times a year on craigslist. In fact, I reluctantly watched an 81 cb750 slip away for 400 bucks in Greenville just because I didn't have it on me at the time...

dang... i live in florence and im stationed in columbia so really up to nc or down to ga isnt that big of a deal, but anything you got would be a great help! like i said its starting to get annoyin... im just ready to ride

Im loving the mags on this cb750...

When I get to work ill try to find the info for a pair of xs650s for 900 bucks in the local paper. They are both disassembled, but its 900 bucks! And one of them has mags.

I really appreciate it, how hard are they to put together? im pretty handy with cars but im just gettin into the bike world, only thing ive even remotley messed with is my dirtbike

Easy as any car man. And two less wheels to deal with. Havent been able to locate the xs ad. The paper disappeared, but the new one comes out tomorrow so ill check it then.

No worries im going to get a trader later today, theres a guy in durham that has 7 for sale im just waiting to hear back from him btw ill post up when i do if your interested in gettin one of those

I know my garage is full right now (proof in the recent purchase thread) but there's a lot of dtt guys in the Raleigh Durham area that im sure would love a scoop on where the good buys are. In case you haven't seen it, there is a craigslist spotter section here in the buy/sell area where we post up deals as we find em. Lots of good stuff there.

so i think its going to come down to a 71 honda 350 and a 76 honda 360 both sellers are asking the same price and both bike look to be in great shape and are still riddin, the 76 has 12k miles on it and im not sure about the 71
any advice on which would be best

Both :) seriously id likely go for the 360. But I think there's a thread around here discussing the merits of the different models.
