looking for clips ons - CB550

Those are probably your best bet other than making some yourself if you can weld.

sadly, I cannot.

Just curious of the fit (33mm) and the quality? They look good, and they are adjustable, so they should fit. They seem a bit inexpensive compared to some other sets.

Anyone buy these or have opinions on the quality? Meaning, will they snap off and kill me at some point :-\

They "look" pretty good. I've just started contemplating Clip ons for my 76' 550 too...let me know if you snag these.

For 60$, buy 'em and try 'em, if they break, sue the crap outta them, if not, you got clip-ons for $60.

Is there a cheaper way to get shorter cables? Or do they have to be made custom to do something like this. I mean the stock bars are damn near 7 inches above the top triple.

I can have a set made for the same price, check my post in the for sale section. I'm waiting on some sets right now, gonna be buying some stainless soon too...

just learned that, indeed, they are 35mm. which means, these will not fit. going to try the "made" ones listed above, or the ones from Parts N More for $65.

keep y'all posted.

thanks

Joshua

what are you doing for rearsets?
stock pegs and low bars make the bike very uncomfortable and decrease the leverage that you have therefor making it handle worse

Rear sets are not that hard to fab.
Lots of guys swear that they dont mind the low bars and stock pegs....but don't see many really riding them though.....

Why not just run "superbike" bars for now and use the limited budget on other things?

that is exactly what I am doing 8)

she is not even running yet, just sold a ton of spare parts so I can get my electrical sorted and then some sprockets. Probably will not be on the road until the spring, so I am trying to line up the purchases for the fall to work towards them. lol

thanks for the advice

Junkyards are your friend for sure. Don't know where you're located, but here in Florida, junkyards are few and far between, but I still managed an entire front end, rear wheel, tank, rear-sets from a Ninja 500R, foot pegs, both triples and both front calipers all for 200$. There are very cheap parts available, just remember you might have to get your hands dirty to retrieve them. Good luck

Parts N More is out of stock of 35mm clip ons.

I've got a pair of 35mm Woodcraft clip ons. Practically brand new. Only had brake/clutch perches mounted so there are a few cosmetic dings in the handles. Everything else is perfect and new.

Asking $120 + shipping from Saskatchewan.

I should have a few sets of 35's next week.

Here's a pic of the 36mm's made for another member for reference...
