looking for some new spokes

I found some local sources that have front wheel spokes but nothing for the rear. The guys from SOHC4 suggested I get them out of the UK nut shipping is prohibitive.

Can anyone suggest a local source of spokes. I need a set for my 550 and 500T

Call up East Coast Wheels. Not local (looks like you're in Canada) but closer than the UK. What sort of local sources have you found for front spokes but they can't get you the rear ones?

I ordered my stainless Buchanan custom spokes and nipples from them for my XS650 project. When it came to the full cost including shipping, they were cheaper to deal with than Buchanan directly. Now I paid dearly for stainless ($90 per wheel I think) but I'm sure they have non-stainless spokes for less.

Yeah Buchanan is a little cheaper directly. Try to score thru Ebay. There is a vintage store in (ebay) Thailand (or Hong Kong) and I think there shipping is somewhat cheapper than UK. Been looking for someone that ordered from them to inquire about the quality.

I need to take my rear wheel to the shop; once i have it in pieces I'll just order by length and not by model.

i've heard that they don't size properly sometimes and don't offer returns... buchanans is a place i've had experience with and they're top notch for the extra 20-30 you'll pay per set... plus they're stainless, so it's basically a lifetime thermonuclear war guarantee
