Hi all,

Just about to pick up a project, and the owner has told me that he lost the key, but has ownership.

A 1964 CB77 F.Y.I

Just wondering if there is anyway around this, I've changed the key cylinder before on an American bike but never a metic.

Help much App.

Thanks

Dex

If the CB77 ignition has 4 wires, a later model can work if you solder in a new pair of block connectors.

you can get a blank at a honda shop and take the lock cylinder to a lock smith. its usually not too terribly expensive if you bring it to them (unlike when they have to come to you cuz you locked your self out of your car or something). might be cheaper to just buy a new ignition switch like the last guy said though i dunno.

Even easier - there should be a number stamped into the ignition switch - should be able to see it right near the keyhole. Take that number into a Honda motorcycle dealership and they should be able to get you a replacement key for your ignition. Don't need a locksmith or a new ignition.

thanks for all the suggestions, I have a lock smith like a block away from my house, I will run it by them
