Lurker Nomore..

I've finally joined after a week or two of lurking. Took the plunge after a quick e-mail chat with Noel trying to score some n00die pics of him (or something like that)..

I live in Burlington Ontario, but am a north york hooligan at heart. Was located at Yonge/Sheppard during my 'bachelor' years, and later settled down with the girly at Yonge/Finch before making my way to the 905 (boo, hiss!)

Currently I've an 85 CB750S that's been a on/off (mainly off) project over the past couple years. All that shit that gets in your way (chicks, cars, 'work', etc)... well, it got in the way. Now I've rejuvenated my thirst to build and am hoping to have something presentable by summer 08.

I ride because it's fun. I still get excited everytime I start the car up, even if it's just to goto the office. It's 1000x that when getting ready to ride. If there's a better reason than that, I sure as hell haven't found it.

Anyway, I'm hoping to pick up a 70's CB (350-550ish) during the off season to build into a poseur cafe bike (the basic stuff that don't require chopping and what not... clubman bars, fender delete.. maybe some rearsets) to ride to school/work. I like Hondas, there's a few in my garage (but nothing too fancy).

Looking forward to soaking this place in ;D

Here's the "retro project"...

I'm actually picking her up from storage this Sunday to finally bring her over to my new house. Right now the panels and tail are off to be repainted, and the first thing on the list for this weekend is to finish off rebuilding the carbs and then working on installing a raptor street fighter fairing from the UK. The original bikini fairing (although dead sexy) has not faired as well as the rest of the bike over the past 22 years.

Original owner painted the windscreen black :S and it's beginning to rot away at the mounts.

And then, as you guys know, it just starts there... I've got a new set of rims in the shed, a replacement cluster ... work out a dual highmount system... fender eliminator...

Hah, that'd be the ex-girly.

We met in college & grew into adulthood together. Eventually I was 'too busy with: cameras, bikes, and getting fucked up' and buying/building us an honest lifestyle just wasn't doing it for her anymore.

She read me like last week's funnies. Couldn't cook or clean, but was pretty useful when selling bikes. And, you know, other stuff.

Was never a fan of my toys with wheels.. including skateboards, BMXs, mountain bikes, urban mountain bikes, and of course the motorbike. Well, you know how it goes....
