I got a 1975/75 CB360 for free from some dude on C-list. I did not get a bill of sale or title. Also I lost his # and forget how to get to his house. I got it last july and it is almost road worthy. Any idea on what my course of action should be will help a lot!!
Thanks in advance.
Jim

Also can I just write a bill of sale in whoevers name to get title.

You can write up a bill of sale.....However it must be Notarized(if in Ma).... Once all that BS has been done The Registry of GOOD OLE MASSA'ASSFACE will require you to have a Law Enforcement Official To sign off on a piece of paper saying the numbers on the frame are the same as the numbers your giving them....Then after all that YOU BETTER HAVE INSURANCE(probably get that first) and your INS co will have to give you a stamped RMV blah blah (sit in the Registry for Hours AGAIN!!!!! dreaming of that ride)....but after all that they do give it to ya (can you tell i've done this before?) I've also gotten a bike with No title from NH.....BUT it had a previous Registration so they gave me the title no questions asked with the Bill of sale....NH is way easier sell it to someone there have them give you the Reg so you can get the title in Ma

The bike has a title on file in MA from 2003 but it was never registered. I have a cousin in ME I think I am going to "sell" it to him and have him title it and "sell" it back to me and just use the ME title and bill of sale

Odd that you had issues. I walked into my insurance company this morning with nothing but a title. Got a stamp,on my rmv1 and walked over to the registry. With the rmv1 and title, only I registered my bike, and she even let me choose my plate!

I had waaaay more trouble getting my noble registered. Had to go to the director of the rmv 's office in Quincy. Literally took months of effort. Guess I caught them on a good day?
