Ordered some aluminum and steel metric rod from McMaster-Carr on Wednesday afternoon and it was on my door step Thursday afternoon. They only charged me $5.00 for shipping.
These guys have got a wide range of raw metals as well as parts and product for the industrial type.
Not a motorcycle related site but might be just the place to find that threaded metric rod you need to fabricate some obscure bolt from or some plate metal of a specific thickness that you need.
