Very cool pic! Anyone have a guess as to the bike? Looks like a little Honda to me (maybe S90?) but I can't picture him riding a bike that small

I realize that this is kind of a necro-post, but felt I had to comment on this post. Firstly, McQueen truly was the king of cool, long before the mainstream media "rediscovered" him. He was cool, not for his style, but because he was a proud motorcycle enthusiast in a time when motorcycling was a fringe lifestyle, we were second-class citizens and most Americans knew nothing of motorcycling beyond the hells angels. He was an enthusiast in a time when being a "biker" could be damaging to his career.

Secondly, an enthusiast, especially one like McQueen will ride anything with two wheels for the sheer thrill of riding a bike, even if it was a pink moped with a basket on the front and streamers on the handlebar. A true enthusiast isn't embarrassed by any bike! If you are, check your leathers at the door!

Well put GBGiver and good first post. It's not that I think he wouldn't have been caught on such a small cc bike, it's just that he had so many amazingly cool bikes in his stable that's its funny to picture him running down to the dealer to pick up one of these to ride. There's no doubt that he would rock it , though. I have a 66 Cub and its a blast to whip around on.

Some people have a little bench in their foyer that they use to sit on and tie their shoes, Steve McQueen has a motorcycle.

I know it's not even relevant, but this statement...

CB77 305cc Superhawk - check that rear 8" TLS brake on the back. That was more brake than the front end on of almost any Brit bike of the time and total overkill.
