Hi my name's Chris. I'm working on 2 project bikes right now... a 71 Honda CL350 that i just picked up and should have ready to ride this weekend and a 65 Triumph T100SC that I've been working on for the last year. Last year I sold a Ducati 748 that I bought wrecked and put on the street until i had to sell it for bills. I work on cars at a dealership now and spent 2 years in a Honda/Yamaha dealership as a technician. I have experience working on all sorts of vintage and modern bikes. I like original old bikes like BSA's, Aermacchi harleys and 2 strokes, for example, and people that can appreciate that and not flame any member with a bike other than a honda. (not that i have anything against hondas) I'm here hoping that this site is more open minded than some others ive been on. Here's a pic of the honda,

Here's the triumph kinda sitting together. ive got some tomaselli clubmans for it since and a few more parts, right now it's in boxes in the corner of my house. i have a ton of stuff on order for it.

I dig the Triumph! I love the original tank on it. That seat looks like it's in great condition on the cl350. Wanna sell it? ;)

Thanks!

I just bought the honda for $500 locally, only had to drive about 10 miles to pick it up. put a fresh bettery in it and it fired up, ran like shit. went through the carbs and someone had been toolin around in em, left some parts out, got those on order and should be here tomorrow. all ive had to do to this so far is adjust and lube stuff. should be on the road this weekend and then i can decide whether or not to caffeinate it!
The tank on the triumph is actually off of a tiger 250, it's a little smaller than the stocker and i kind of like the look. I had a guy in TN make some adapters for me to fit the XS650 front end with tapered timken bearings. I just ordered pistons, rings, pins, gaket kit and a big box full of used parts to mostly finish up the trump. found a guy who knows a guy who is a restorer and good used parts are pretty much junk to him... his junk, my treasure. after these parts come in and i get them on and in, the main thing i'll have left to do will be to build the electrical/ignition system. i'm sure i'll come across issues here and there but im hoping to have it done around summer time. I'll keep it posted.

hi, mfergel thanks for the welcome. i moved from richmond to where im at now. i worked at Cliff's Honda Yamaha on Cary St. for a few years just before it became virginia motorsports. If I make it back up there any time soon i'll let you know.

Welcome to the group and pleased to meet you. If you're running through Richmond, I'm in the parts department at Honda House on West Broad. Drop in and introduce yourself.
