micro switches

GK

Been Around the Block
I have gone thru the search for micro switches and i couldnt find it so i thought i would ask hoping the original poster
will remember, I read a post on a micro switch set up for the clutch side of the bars to operate blinkers and horn
, a link to a japanese site was posted which had these little billet switch blocks that had a toggle and two buttons, can
anyone remeber the site??
cheers, GK.

SO I am fairly new to electrical stuff, but how would you attach the wires to that micro switch? ALso I found some pretty much just like that at radio shack for just a couple dollars, would that work the same?

So, I could not find a link for them on their website, but for the sake of argument, could you get a simple toggle for the turn signals and one for the high beam or even just a push button for the high beam and wire it in pretty easy?

The horn is simple one one wire to each side what ever color went to your horn. On old hondas light green and a the other gets grounded to the bike. On the turn signal midde gets power and the two other get the corresponding POS+ for each side ( I would splice at the bucket or unde tank for the front and rear) I'm gonnda do this myself on my brat bike, gonna have the little plate machined.

GK,

This might seem obvious, but make sure that you solder the wires to the switches for a secure connection. For additional protection and some strain relief, slip a piece of shrink wrap tubing over the solder connection and shrink it tight.

Yes it is obvious Scott ;), but thanks for the heads up anyway, I have fixed mates bikes before and never cease to
be amazed at some of the things they do ::)

thanks for that link smoking, I ended up finding the Jap site too , http://www.posh-factory.com/index.htm cool site but I cant stop laughing at their engrish transrations ;D
cheers fellas, GK.

You have no idea! I lived in Tokyo for 18 months when I was 16 or so and they LOVE their Japanglish. You can have a great time with a beer and a wander, just take in all the weird mangles hop signs and slogans pasted on everything.
Yeah...those folks are odd.....great though.
If you ever get the chance I highly recommend spending as much time as you can there.
