Mad Science!
DTT BOTM WINNER
I came home today to find a nice box on the front porch. It is my Mike Woulfe leather jacket that I won at Barber's this year!

First off I want to thank Jason and Herm at Dime City for having such awesome prizes at the show this year. Second I want to thank Mike. He was just an awesome guy to work with, and despite many health issues he had over the past couple of months, he came through with exactly the jacket I wanted. I even sent my own patches for him to add on, and he did no question.

He removed the mesh liner from the jacket to sew all of the patches on. It looks factory. The stitching is impeccable. All of the zippers are YKK heavy duty units and the jacket is TOUGH. Nice and heavy. Came with a zip out liner, etc. I went with brown, because I am a brown kind of guy. The jacket is amazing. Beats every other jacket I own!!!! The only thing it's missing is the regional DTT patches that so many of you have already kindly started sending my way. Big thanks to Eddie (Xulf13) for the DTT Triangle patch from NC that he gave me at Barber's this year. As you can see it took a place of honor. So without further adieu....here's the product. If I do say so myself, it is just drop dead sexy!!!

The Dime City Concho. A real 1942 liberty dime that the boys crafted up specifically for this jacket. Thanks fellas!!!

I'm not affiliated at all with anyone involved, but the care and love put into this thing are well worth the mention. Mike, thank you so much, your work is incredible. If anyone is thinking of buying one of these things from DCC, DO IT! The love is apparent in every stitch! I love it!

Very nice sir. Now i'be been shamed into upgrading my Joe Rocket to something hopefully half as fine. Excellent jacket dude.

Looks awesome! Is that one of the Xelement jackets he uses? Buffalo hide?

Very, very, nice sir. I've been lusting after that exact xelement jacket for a few months now. You'll have to let me know how it wears. And the patchwork looks spot on too. Nice!

That jacket is enough to bring me out of Lurking ;D Very very nice. Congratulations on such a killer prize!

Thanks guys!!!!

I am stoked about the threads. Mike did a wonderful job. I can't say enough about it.

It is an XElement jacket, has a "Made in the USA" tag in it and it is heavy duty. Quality zippers and quality stitching. I can't say enough about Mike's work. And Tim, you know that patch is going on!!!!!

Thanks fellas!

Ha, Enough to get me out of lurking as well. The jacket looks great as well. Top notch work, they really show their skills in putting that jacket together.
Kiley, thanks for the kind words. Even though my Barber patch sits close to my butt, and not my heart, it is a reminder of the greatest trip I have taken so far, made special by your hospitality and fellow brothers from DTT whom I had the priviledge of meeting and getting to know.

Whats the deal for next year?

I'm gettin married in September. Wife suggested we make a trip to Ontario for the honey moon with the Jeep, a trailer and my bike. Might be not so hard to persuade her to go south instead.

Great looking jacket!

Speaking of show swag, (sorry for the threadjacking) did any of the other prize winners get their Vitesse Moto boots? I was supposed to recieve a pair of custom fit boots as part of my prize pack. Jason at DCC fowarded my contact info to Vitesse, and I've tried to contact them directly. But still no boots, not even a GFY. Ah well, they weren't really my style anyway. Maybe DCC/Tim/ CRTV could get Gasolina to donate some prizes. I saw them in the swap area. They seem like great boots and nice folks. I hear they got thier back order situation strightened out. Just a thought.

Anyhoo, cool jacket and congrats on the well deserved award!

Thanks man! And the Vitesse boots are very comfy. That's weird that you haven't heard anything yet. I'd try to get Jason or Herm to Email Vitesse for you since they are a boutique distributor for their boots, they may be able to get some pull us mere mortals otherwise can't. I'm sure they'd want you to have the boots, they want to pitch them since they're selling 'em, and there's no better way to pitch 'em than throwing them over a saddle!
