When did Emo become hardcore? I must have missed that tweet/email/memo (delete for your own decade). I don't get how I hate myself so I'm going to cut myself morph into hardcore?

I too old for this stuff. Where's my pipe and slippers. Wasn't nuffin like that when I were a lad.

Some of those Emo chicks are hot though......
 
theres still some good hardcore scene around... if you know wehre to go.

ive been to some places that left some people in the hospital. walked outa one with a bruised up face but with a big grin attached. was a good night.
 
Wasn't into hardcore, death metal or punk when I was a kid but lots of my friends were. Was a bit too loud for me. But I did enjoy a good mosh pit to let loose some steam. Kids still mosh, body surf and stage dive, don't they?

It's funny you post that. I went (with my wife) to a '70's Party last weekend. And since I HATE Disco, I decided to go British Punk Rock instead.
I was the only one there in combat boots, jeans, white wifebeater, and a Perfecto. I even shaved my head for a real Mohawk ;)
I was listening to The Misfits right before we left, just to get into the mindset :D
 
oh without a doubt rocan shows are fun when people dont give a shit but now theres too much drama involved that its not even worth it

Misfits, Ramones..? Well they are both fin and dandy... Far from hard-core of any sort. All you little homo's probably shop @ Hot Topic and Spencers..AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhahahahahahahahaaaaaa

I'd rather have me some Blood for Blood, or Bruiser's, Cro-mags, Dag Nasty ect.
 
I'll take the Ramones over the Misfits, but that's just me. Something about the ugliest fucker in the world singing ridiculously great 2 minute songs, I am in.

As far as hardcore goes, I was never really a fan. I have never been angry enough for it.


I'm all out of angst.
