Modernized H2 build!

Ok so this will be slow going on this project but at least I have a place to start and get ideas.

I just picked up an H2 roller with an FZR400 (aluminum!) rear swinger and shock conversion and FZR front end. My plan is to build an H2 with modern USD front end. I've always wanted to use the TZ ducktail seat as well. I have a 2007 ZX6RR front end and rear wheel that I may try to use. But my goal is to also update the entire bike including tank. All I want to use of the H1/2 is the chassis and engine.

The engine in the pics below is an h2 that is obviously incomplete. I'd like to swap it and the tank or tailsection for an H1 engine and/or parts.

Here is my project. It's in SacramentoCA area but I need to find a way to get it to SLC, Utah.

Ambitious project . There was a guy on here screen name squirrely built an awesome Kawi with modern suspension and the ducktail seat, you might want to check it out for inspiration!

There are a few cool examples of custom h1/h2's here on DTT.

Squirley's is the silver/grey beast and Kevin (can't remember his forum name) own's the black monster.
















Here's mine. It's a '74 h2b and very similar to your project in that I've used FZ600 suspension, brakes and wheels. Kevin used suspension, brakes and wheels off a FZ1000.
