Didnt I read here somewhere that DTT is hosting the event in August . I cant seem to find the thread again, anyone direct me :)

yeah... I was contacted by the organizers of the Mods/Rockers event asking if we could get involved in helping out organize the event.
Personally, I can't be involved.. to much on the go...

IS there anyone here in TO that would like to be involved in the organizing of the event?... a "project manager/promoter" in a way?

let me know...
 
Whaaa? I was just thinking we should organize an event, held at the Black Dice. Maybe we already did and I'm having bad flash-backs.

Theres a poster there with a whole agenda so now Im officially all fucked up.
I was under the impression that DTT was hosting it but if you guys dont know the details then Im all screwed up. Maybe I need to read back through the posts and see the relationship between DTT and Ton up club . Anyway I have come to a decision on my ride for the Wennie's and Rockers ride its gonna be Old Faithful . I had planned to ride a Super Six until I rebuilt the Honda but after seeing some of the bikes you guys put out I have a whole new outlook on life!
Took old faithful for a short spin today then washed her up will post pics in show and shine.

DTT is not an official partner of M&R Toronto but that doesn't mean we aren't fully supporting it. The Friday night event is held at the Black Dice and although a favourite hangout of DTTers, not officially a DTT event, it's a Black Dice/M&R event. I plan to attend all the events and maybe help with the organizing of the Saturday ride to the Dominion.

Perfect... DrJ.. you are the man to spearhead this event... to boldly go where no man has gone before....yada..yada..yada...and be our guide for this event...

If you are cool with that, I'll just let Michel know that you will be the DTT point person...
 
I think the point is the event is already organized, and DTT isn't an 'official' part of it and won't be. Glad to see the Dice is involved! I wholly expect to see as many of us out there rockin' the DTT colors and making general mayhem. Without us, it would be a giant Mod party and we can't have that. Everybody would be milling around and smiling. That's no fun.

We'll bring the grease and blood to the party.
 
Okay who or what is Mods & Rockers is it a seperate forum / club or is it part of "The Ton Up Club" ?
ps make sure there are no Who tunes on any juke boxes around the bars and cafe's

Mods & Rockers is just an event, a vintage bike community event. It's not a club, forum or group. The organizers (myself and a few others) have no formal affiliation with any club, however we are engaging clubs and groups (like DTT) as partners in the event because they represent sizable portions of the community. The goal with DTT was to have them come on board to organize the Saturday morning ride (essentially the grandstand event), assuming Dr. J agrees to be point... it looks like that can happen.
 
Well blow me down - let's get this shit done then! Saturday it is - we'll get the board organized and if DrJ wants to lend a hand getting details sorted out great. Noel and I can make whatever needs to happen on the board get done - I'll post up a tower ad for the event, and we can start a sticky thread for getting the times/locations/participants sorted out.

Of course you guys decided to do this on the weekend of my anniversary, so I need to confirm my own participation with the wife. Maybe I can get a sitter for the kid and get Kim out on her Vino, and me on my cafe.

Hook me up with a tower graphic for the event and I'll get it up on the board. Love the fact it's going down at the Dice. Where does the Saturday ride start?

My only concern is they're tearing up Dundas for watermains. Might be an absolute mess this summer.
 
Way to go Dr Jay! Can't wait for this event.
For the ride meet up on Saturday, Black Dice won't be ready after the big party...I suggest to meet up at my friend Louie (Gigi)'s cafe called ROCKABILLY ROCK on Oakwood/Davenport.

Tim, you got to come out for the ride with Kim 8)
