Monstercraftsman Brutus tensioner question

I just received my MC Brutus chain tensioner in the mail. My plan was to install it with a fixed axle than cannot be adjusted. The tensioner would be my only adjustment for slack. Has anyone had experience with this setup?

Yup. That's what they're really made to do.

I thought so. But for some reason I read the instructions and it said to readjust the axle chain tension. It definitely has the ability to remove lots of slack.

In a perfect situation, you should still have the ability to adjust at the axle. But if you don't, than the tensioner should do the job just fine. The guys at MonsterCraftsman are pretty cool as well. I'm sure if you gave them a ring, they'd answer any questions you may have.
