Who's going to the 2013 VRRA @ MOSPORT?

The 2013 Vintage Festival will be on August 23,24, and 25.The premier classic/vintage roadracing event in Canada is the VRRA’s three day Motorcycle Festival held annually at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on the third weekend in August.

Featuring the CVMG Vintage Festival Concours D’Elegance 2013 Saturday August 24,2013
The event is open to all vintage and classic bikes, weather street or competition.
Registration and display of the bikes starts at noon, with judging to start at 3:00 and awards ceremony at 4:30.

I think some of you guys could take Best Special if you guys would get out there.
(Drewski probably has best special in the bag. ;D ;D)

Don't forget they have "Try The Track" on also for you guys who want to drive a few laps.


Some are going to stay over night camping, should be a good time.
I think we should do a short street ride through Durham region on Saturday and get back to park a line of Ton bikes in the pits.

Haha! Jim, right now my "special" is in pieces on the floor of the shop. It's "special" all right!!

Seriously though, if you're going to be in the neighbourhood that weekend, it's a great place to camp, hang out, go for a ride on the surrounding roads AND get an opportunity to actually ride the track!! We did it last year and it was a hi-lite to say the least! We weren't just cruising around in 2nd gear... we got to crank it a little!! It was a blast!!

So... get your "ride" set up and plan to be there! We're camping and it would be cool to get a group to go for the weekend! 8)

There will be a bunch of us camping on the hill at turn two at least 5 CRO and two DTT members plus a bunch of guys we see every year there so call by and say hello. It looks like we will be taking more modern cycles though as nobody has volunteered to drive our camping gear down and it don't fit on the Cafe's.

This might be a great chance for me to get away from work.... and the house! 14-16 hour days for the next 2 or 3 weeks... including weekends! I am going to put it on the calendar and see about making it down! Sounds awesome!

Yeah the infield we always camp there on the hill at turn 2 away from the paddock so we can have a nice campfire and listen to Aussie Terry tell bad jokes and sing naughty songs. Actually before he gets drunk he is a wealth of knowledge from his racing days back in Aussie. As I said previously we will be on more modern bikes this year look for two Triumph Trophy's Blue & Green.
Last year I tried to take my Norton but ended up with the Honda which was still a chore as this pic will attest to, the Trumpets have bags galore.

I'll have to try and sort my XS out before then and see if I can make the trip up. Would love to take it out on the track.

You sure about the Try the Track being active for the event though? Not seeing it on the schedule and the event isn't listed on the Try the Track registration form.

They don't mention the demo rides or the band either and both have been there for the last couple of years.

Here's the info for the "Try The Track". There is some things you need to have so check it out.
Get to the pits well before drive time as your bike will have to get safety checked and they can be busy.

It looks like quite a few people have confirmed that their going up on Friday to camp inside corner two.
If you make it out on Saturday or Sunday look for our bikes parked in the pits by the restaurant or up at #2.

Had a great time at the track Tevor, Drewski and Reds along with several other guys were there.
The "Try The Track" turned out to be Sunday only so some of the guys who had to leave missed it.
It was sold out with a limited number or passes. Two groups went out for 4 or 5 laps each.

We didn't see you or Kemp there.
I guess the Tim-XS didn't get fixed up or what?
